Tri Greenville Brings Scott Rigsby to Greenville
Tri Greenville Triathlon, in cooperation with the Greenville Yellow Jacket Challenge and with grant support from the Greenville Area Community Foundation's Access to Recreation Endowment Fund, is proud to announce that Scott Rigsby, double amputee Ironman, is coming to Greenville!
Following a work-place accident and many years of setbacks, Scott lost both of his legs below the knee. His journey led him to attempt and succeed at events such as the Ford Ironman World Championship and the Boston Marathon. He has become a gifted public speaker and will be bringing his inspirational story to the Greenville High School auditorium following the Yellow Jacket Challenge on Sunday, April 27 and again on Monday, April 28. You can learn more about Scott at: http://www.scottrigsby.com/scottrigsbystory.html.
Admission is free and open to the public, but auditorium space is limited to 800. Additional admission and event information is coming soon. Contact the Greenville Recreation Department, 616.754.8887 or like us on facebook at www.facebook.com/trigreenville to receive further details.
The Tri Greenville Adult and Kid Sprint Triathlon will be held on May 31, 2014, just about a month after Scott’s inspirational message. You will be especially challenged by hearing Scott’s inspiring story. We hope Scott’s story will inspire you to participate in the Tri Greenville Triathlon. Space is limited so sign up today.
